A Pioneer and a Strong Pillar in the Community Has Gone Home to Rest:
Louis “Douglas” Thompson a well-known business man and farmer in the community has entered an eternal rest. Mr. Thompson was loved and known by many and was a farmer in the community for over 40 years. He was the owner and operator of Thompson Farms and Vault Company. Douglas was a true man of wisdom and knowledge and a mentor to many. Please come out and celebrate his life and legacy with us:
The Wake and the Funeral will be held at First African Baptist Church, 503 Webster Street, Bainbridge, Georgia 39817. The wake will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM. The family will be receiving visitors at Mr. Thompson’s home immediately following the wake until 8:30PM.
The Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 3:00PM immediately followed by internment at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery on Highway 97 South.

Mr. Thompson will lie in estate at First African Baptist Church from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. He will then be back at Guyton Brothers Funeral Home for viewing until 7:00 P.M.
